Social Prescriber
I’m the Community Link Advisor / Social Prescribing Link Worker for the PCN. I am a teacher by background but had had a desire to be in a role that would allow me to help and support but in such a way that it would make a difference for many years before I got this role. I was inspired to get into Social Prescribing as knew it was the perfect role for me. I get to help, guide and support, whilst knowing that I could be making a huge difference to someone. I am a Mental Health First Aider and have gained several other qualifications in this field. Aside from my children, one of my most proud achievements has been raising over £8000 for Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of a friend and inspiration. I’m here to support any patient over the age of 18 in a non-medical, holistic way. That could include helping you to find a local group to feel more socially included, to supporting you to ensure that you are getting the right benefits to helping you or a loved get the right care and support. No two days are ever the same, and I love that I can potentially help you.
